Trying to make dinner plans for the weekend? Check out the menu at The Kickin Mule and head to the square for some classic Southern favorites!

Starting Off

A selection of appetizers ranges from tasty fried finger foods to substantial salads. Seafood options include the calamari fritti, gently fried calamari in parmesan, accompanied by marinara and lemon aioli for dipping. There’s also the shrimp brochette, wrapped in bacon and loaded with jalapeño and pepper jack; or the cornmeal-battered shrimp corndogs with tabasco mash remoulade. Salads include the caprese with ripe tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and more in a balsamic reduction; as well as the chef’s salad with romaine, ice burg, cucumber, carrot, ham, turkey, and boiled egg.

Sandwiches and Burgers

If you’re looking for a good hand-held option, you have a variety of sandwiches to choose from, including the BLT or country fried steak sliders on Hawaiian rolls. The All American Club features ham, bacon, turkey, Swiss, and more with sundried tomato mayo; while the Kickin Cornbread ham and cheese sports pleasantly spiced jalapeño cornbread. The cheeseburger sliders pack eight ounces of beef along with your choice of cheese. Accompanying the sandwiches is your pick of savory fries with sriracha ketchup or sweet potato tots served with maple aioli.

Southern Classics

The kitchen at The Kickin Mule also turns out an impressive array of hearty surf and turf options. Seafood lovers will enjoy the wild-caught mahi mahi, while the Atlantic salmon can be ordered grilled or blackened. Don’t overlook the pan seared swordfish, either, as it comes with lemon pepper butter. Fried chicken comes with creamy gravy, as does the crispy chicken-fried cubed steak. The filet mignon is served with a delicious reduction sauce, and the double thick pork chop comes flame-kissed off the grill with its amazing miso glaze.
